We only work on sport surfaces.
Desert Turfcare is a specialist sports turf company rather than a general landscaper. The people here spend their working lives on pitches, tracks and outfields, and nothing else.
⸺ Our story
It started with one pitch in the UAE.
Desert Turfcare was founded in 2004 to do one thing properly: build and look after grass that has to survive competitive sport in a desert climate. The early work was local, hands on, and learned season by season on real playing surfaces in the UAE.
As clubs, schools and stadium operators asked for more, the team grew into a dedicated workforce of over 200 specialists covering construction, agronomy, irrigation and daily maintenance. Growth came from repeat work rather than marketing, because surfaces either hold up on match day or they do not.
That reputation carried the business beyond the Emirates. Today the same teams and methods run projects in Bahrain and Saudi Arabia, with the same expectation that a surface is judged by how it plays, not how it photographs. Desert Turfcare operates under Desert Group, a group with divisions spanning landscape design and construction, golf course development, plant nurseries and more, active in the region since 1988.
⸺ What we do
One team, across the full surface lifecycle.
Most projects don't need three contractors; they need one team that understands the surface from the rootzone up.
⸺ The team on the ground
The work happens on the pitch, every day.
Our crews are turf construction hands, agronomists, irrigation technicians and match-day preparation teams. They are on site early, in the heat, reading the surface and adjusting the programme as conditions change.
⸺ Where we operate
Three markets, one team.
United Arab Emirates
Our home market and operational base, with crews working across the Emirates.
Bahrain
A long-running presence supporting stadium and club surfaces.
Saudi Arabia
Active delivery and maintenance teams on the ground for sports facilities.
